Jeff Baynham, Associate Vice Chancellor, Advancement Services
Jeff Baynham has over 19 years of experience in higher education advancement, currently serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement Services at North Carolina State University. Jeff leads a dynamic and innovative team of 50 talented colleagues across four units: Gifts and Records Management, Prospect Development, Donor Services, and Information and Technology. He was instrumental in enhancing the advancement operations at NC State to support its successful $2.1B capital campaign, Think and Do the Extraordinary, which closed in December 2021. Currently, Jeff is leading a transformational CRM project, transitioning NC State’s advancement technology to Kindsight’s Ascend on Salesforce.
Jeff is a member and frequent attendee of CASE and AASP and currently serves on the Finance and Education committees for AASP. He is also a member of the Kindsight Innovation Council. He served as faculty for the 2021 CASE Summer Institute in Advancement Services. Jeff previously served on product advisory committees for Ellucian and Anthology.
Before NC State, Jeff was the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services at his alma mater, Western Kentucky University, leading Gift and Bio Records, Prospect Development, and Donor Relations. He got his start in higher education advancement in leadership annual giving and alumni relations at WKU. Before higher education advancement, Jeff had a career in personal banking. He graduated with a degree in finance from the Gordon Ford College of Business at WKU.
